Description

Extensive refurbishment, extension and remodelling of a 100,000 square foot 1980's office building with two basement levels in the City of London. The works included the removal of the roof and the addition of an extra floor of office space within the planning envelope.

 

The existing post-modern elevations were radically altered with the removal of the high level blue cladding and heavily tinted windows and replacement with clear glass floor to ceiling windows.

Challenge

To deliver the project on a two stage design and build basis to a fixed budget.

Solution
Working closely with the preferred contractor to develop and economical solution during the second stage tender period.

 

Result

A successful project where the final account was agreed at the contract sum amount.
