Description

The building was stripped back to carcass with all existing finishes and services removed. The refurbishment of the building then took place to provide grade A office floors along with retail spaces at the ground level.

Challenge

The speed at which the client required the works to be completed without a fixed contract sum at commencement.
 

Solution

The team agreed on a 2 stage procurement route working to the budget set out in Academy Consulting's Cost Plan. The scheme was delivered within this budget and due to an excellent working relationship across the entire team the project was delivered on time.

 

Result

Academy's service was praised by the Project Manager who stated that we "embraced the roles as Cost Manager and Principal Designer on this major refurbishment scheme" and that our team was "fully engaged with the project from inception to closing the final account".
