Description

The conversion of a 1960's office building to create a state of the art medical facility and the largest private outpatient and diagnostic centre in the UK. Arranged over 7 floors, 50 consulting rooms, 4 day surgery theatres and a 12 bed day surgery were delivered.

Challenge

The delivery date for the new building was very challenging so as to maximise on stream revenue.
 

Solution

A two stage open book tender approach was adopted to procure a Contractor quickly to secure build-ability advice and an early start on site.

 

Result

The fast track project was delivered on time and to the client's budget despite many issues discovered in the existing building fabric.
